Job Description


Each individual performing this function is responsible for not only the overall quality of the activities performed per written procedures and training but also for interaction with the entire team to strive to achieve goals, promote safety and build a relationship with team members through respect and communication.


The Production Manager is responsible for performing the following functions:

1.  Direct, assist and coordinate daily production of work cells, with Team Leaders.

2.  Monitor daily production data to identify inefficient, processes, operations and equipment.

3.   Direct and assist the Shift Coordinator. Monitor developed processes and procedures through internal audits to insure they are correct and adequate.

4.  Maintain plant systems including Mattec Monitoring System.

5.  Maintain all ISO procedures and work instructions pertaining to the production area.

6.  Communicate to Shift Coordinator and Cell Team Leaders any changes in the schedule or problems in production.

7.   Documented evaluation of Shift Coordinators and cell team members as needed. Make sure all 5S and TPM activities are completed on time and documented.

8.  Coordinate and assist with time and labor utilization for the production floor.

9.  Direct, assist and support the training procedures of the production floor.

10.  Perform duties in a safe and orderly manner in accordance with company rules and regulations.

11.  Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.


1.  High school diploma or General Education Certificate (GED) and/or equivalent work history.

2.  Physical requirements:

a.  Subjected to lifting fifty (50) to seventy (70) pounds.

b.  Repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, standing and sitting, with or without accommodation.

3.  Good communication skills, oral and written.

4.  Good mechanical, math and problem-solving skills.

5.  Good organizational, supervisory and interpersonal skills.

6.  Two (2) years minimum technical training.

7.  Five (5) years supervisory experience in injection molding a plus.

  • Know production goals and production number at all times
  • Monitor the daily production schedules
